Travel lifestyle brand Tumi is focusing on its travel retail development in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. The brand plans to upgrade its presence in key airports, including recent openings in South Korea’s Incheon International, Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi, Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta, and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

Tumi currently operates over 100 travel retail locations across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, with more than half in Greater China. The brand aims to increase this number in line with the region’s overall growth in travel.

Tumi Vice President Asia Pacific & Middle East, Aris Maroulis, said, “Travel retail, especially at airports and select downtown and train station locations, is a natural growth area for the brand. We aim to be present in all major airports in the region to reach current and future Tumi consumers and showcase the brand to an international, premium audience.”

Tumi will primarily use standalone stores in the APAC and Middle East regions but will consider multi-brand spaces or shop-in-shops based on location. The strategy includes launching exclusive designs or colors in key markets. This July, Tumi will introduce a limited-edition Voyageur capsule exclusively in select travel retail locations in Greater China.

Additionally, Tumi recently launched golf bags, accessories, and the Asra collection of women’s bags, modeled by global brand ambassador, South Korean actress Mun Ka Young. New products are introduced annually, complementing iconic core lines.

Consumers demand functionality, design, and exceptional quality, which Tumi delivers. Maroulis emphasized, “Our products are known for their durability, material innovation, and exceptional testing standards. We continue to develop products using recycled materials, a key component of our brand journey.”
