Rescuers have recovered the body of British tech magnate Mike Lynch from a superyacht that sank off the coast of Sicily. The search continues for his 18-year-old daughter Hannah, the last person missing after the 180-foot luxury vessel went down during a freak storm.

Rescue workers transport a body after divers arrived back at Porticello harbor early Thursday.

Four bodies were recovered earlier this week, including Lynch’s close associates, following a challenging underwater search obstructed by debris and the depth of the wreckage. Salvatore Cocina, head of Sicily’s civil protection agency, confirmed a fifth body on Thursday morning, later identified as Lynch by CNBC.

Fifteen of the 22 people on board survived. The Royal Academy of Engineering expressed deep sadness at Lynch’s passing, mourning the loss of a figure often dubbed “Britain’s Bill Gates.” Rescue operations remain focused on locating the last missing person, as calm seas contrast sharply with the violent waters that led to the tragedy.
