Gracie Abrams has capped off a remarkable stretch in her career with the purchase of a $5.5 million penthouse in New York City, sealing the deal in an all-cash transaction. The 25-year-old pop star, who recently toured with Taylor Swift and earned a Grammy nomination, bought the property in a historic Fifth Avenue building long favored by celebrities, according to The Real Deal.

Abrams reportedly closed on the three-bedroom, three-bathroom penthouse on February 27, securing it for less than the original $5.99 million asking price. The home combines two units into just under 2,000 square feet and features two terraces, expansive windows, and a light-filled interior with a chef’s kitchen and skyline views. The building, constructed in 1927, has hosted famous residents like Keith Richards, Jessica Lange, and Tim Burton, and includes amenities like a 24/7 door attendant, live-in superintendent, and bike room.

This is Abrams’ second purchase in the building—she also bought a smaller unit for $1.95 million last November. It’s unclear if she plans to keep that space now that she’s upgraded. Last summer, Glamour noted her growing desire to make New York her permanent home.

Abrams, who began singing at age eight, signed with Interscope Records in 2019 and released her debut single “Mean It” later that year. Since then, she’s become a breakout star, collaborating with Taylor Swift and opening for Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, and The National. On March 17, she was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, performing “That’s So True” before accepting her award and thanking Swift, Rodrigo, Aaron Dessner, and her fans.
