Phoebe Philo has opened her first physical store in France—a 50-square-metre space on the first floor of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris, which launched on February 19. This follows the brand’s first shop-in-shop debut in London last November at Dover Street Market, coinciding with the second drop of its B Collection on Philo’s e-shop.

Just over a year after releasing her first collection, Philo has expanded her minimalist luxury label into a major Parisian retail presence. Though not a standalone store, the Galeries Lafayette setup closely resembles one in scale and presentation.

Philo, the former creative director at Chloé and Céline, spent two years developing her brand before launching it online in limited markets. In April 2024, she briefly partnered with Bergdorf Goodman to sell select items ahead of their general release. By September, she expanded to six more retail locations, including Dover Street Market in Paris and London, 10 Corso Como in Milan, Maxfield and Neiman Marcus in Los Angeles, and The Webster in Miami.

In October, Phoebe Philo entered the Asian market through its website and multibrand retailers using the same model as in Europe and the US. Retail partners include Dover Street Market Ginza and Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo, Parlour X in Sydney, and Shinsegae International in Seoul.

Founded in London in September 2020 with her husband, Maximilian Wigram, Philo’s brand also has the backing of LVMH, which owns a minority stake. Recently, the label strengthened its team with the addition of Bruno Sialelli, former Lanvin creative director, now leading ready-to-wear design.
