Pharrell’s adidas Superstar 92, a bold oversized take on the classic silhouette, is set for a global release this weekend. Previously teased at Paris Fashion Week and pre-launched via A Ma Maniére Atlanta, the sneaker arrives in Core White and Core Black colorways, featuring a “Virginia” callout on the tongue as a nod to Pharrell’s home state. Retailing for $200 USD, it will be available through adidas and select retailers starting March 1.

Originally unveiled alongside Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2025 menswear collection, the Superstar 92, also called the “Double Wide,” embraces exaggerated proportions inspired by ’90s skate sneakers and ski boots. Pharrell first teased the design in April, appearing alongside BLACKPINK’s Rosé at Tiffany’s Wonder exhibition in Tokyo.

The Superstar 92 is part of a trio, including the 72 and 82 models, each representing a different era of design. The 72 embraces a vintage athletic look from the ’70s, while the 82 channels refined ’80s style. “We wanted to give the world an option to find a Superstar that resonates with their unique self,” Pharrell stated. While no release date has been set for the other models, fans can stay tuned for updates on Hypebeast.
