Tennis stars Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz are making headlines at the Paris Olympics not just for their skills, but for their luxury watches. Both athletes, known as “Nadalcaraz,” have been spotted wearing high-end timepieces in the lead-up to the Games.

Nadal continues his tradition with Richard Mille, sporting the new RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon “Rafael Nadal.” This watch, weighing just 11.5 grams and able to withstand 14,000g acceleration, sells for $1.2 million. Mille describes his pieces as a “second skin” for the Spanish champion, highlighting their long-term partnership: “Rafa and I have a life-long commitment… It is more than just watchmaking – it’s life!”

Alcaraz wore a Rolex Day-Date 228238, retailing for around $60,000, featuring baguette-cut hour markers. Alcaraz became a Rolex sponsor in early 2022 and has been seen wearing various models from the brand, including the Rolex Daytona at Wimbledon.

The duo has been successful at the Olympics, advancing to the quarterfinals in doubles after defeating the Dutch team of Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof. Nadal and Alcaraz will next face the American pair of Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram.

In singles, Alcaraz, seeded second, easily moved to the third round by defeating Hady Habib and Griekspoor, continuing his impressive performance at the Games.
