Remo Ruffini, CEO of Moncler, has opened a flagship store on New Bond Street in London, consolidating the brand’s presence in one of the world’s most prestigious shopping areas. The new location spans over 5,800 square feet across three floors, blending contemporary design with English heritage in its interiors. Ruffini emphasized the need for “energy” and increased footfall, motivating the move from the quieter Old Bond Street.

During a week filled with investor meetings, Ruffini cohosted a celebratory dinner with Jony Ive and attended the British Fashion Council’s Fashion Awards, where he received the Trailblazer Award. Ruffini highlighted the importance of community engagement in London, especially amidst challenges like the absence of tax-free shopping and stricter tax policies.

Ruffini addressed speculation about acquiring Burberry, praising CEO Joshua Schulman but denying any plans to purchase the struggling brand. Instead, Ruffini is focused on strengthening Moncler and Stone Island, the latter transitioning toward direct-to-consumer sales.

Moncler, which Ruffini revived from near-bankruptcy in 2003, has evolved into a $3 billion luxury group. Despite his achievements, Ruffini remains grounded, attributing his success to relentless energy and a drive to keep Moncler unique. Looking ahead, his dream is to pass the business to his two sons, Pietro and Romeo, ensuring its legacy continues in family hands.
