Mercedes-Benz Group AG is strengthening its presence in the U.S. by appointing Jason Hoff as the first-ever CEO of Mercedes-Benz North America, effective May 1, 2025. Currently Head of Quality for Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans, Hoff will oversee the company’s overall strategic direction in the region, reporting directly to the Board of Management.

“The United States has been our successful home for over a century. To unlock our full potential, we are creating the position of North America CEO,” said Ola Kaellenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. The move consolidates research, development, sales, and marketing efforts to enhance synergy and growth in the U.S., the company’s second-largest market, where it sold 324,500 vehicles in 2024.

Hoff, an Oregon native, began his Mercedes-Benz career in 1993 in Stuttgart before joining the U.S. team to launch the M-Class in Alabama. He later led the Tuscaloosa plant as CEO, overseeing SUV production and expansion efforts. After returning to Germany in 2010, he held executive roles in Interior Purchasing and Global Quality. Reflecting on his new role, Hoff stated, “I know what our amazing U.S. team is capable of and am excited to take our performance to the next level.”
