The Sleepless in Seattle actress originally purchased the two-acre property in 2021 for $9.5 million from Alicia McFarlane, granddaughter of John Wayne. McFarlane and her husband had acquired it just a year earlier for $5.4 million. The estate, once owned by author Sue Grafton, was originally built in 2010 and has undergone major renovations under Ryan’s ownership, including a 3,000-square-foot expansion and the addition of an ocean-facing porch with a fireplace and swinging chair.
