Marc Jacobs brought his Manhattan-based bookstore, Bookmarc, to Park City, Utah, over the weekend to celebrate Peter Hujar and Linda Rosenkrantz. The event kicked off a global collaboration between Marc Jacobs and The Standard hotel group, set to span 2025 with pop-ups, limited-edition releases, and exclusive events.

The celebration was centered around the Sundance debut of “Peter Hujar’s Day,” a film adaptation of Rosenkrantz’s book, directed by Ira Sachs and starring Ben Whishaw as Hujar and Rebecca Hall as Rosenkrantz. Both stars joined Rosenkrantz at the party, marking the first time Hall and Rosenkrantz met in person.

Rosenkrantz expressed her amazement at seeing her story brought to life on film: “It’s reliving a period of my life. When he died, Peter wasn’t very well known. I just want people to look at his work and appreciate it.”

Held in the World of Hyatt space, the event underscored the shared values of creativity and individuality between Marc Jacobs and The Standard. “Our partnership is about pushing boundaries and creating unexpected experiences,” said Kristin Patrick, global chief marketing officer at Marc Jacobs. Amar Lalvani, president of Hyatt’s Lifestyle Group, praised Jacobs’ legacy: “He defined an era and continues to create in daring ways. This collaboration will bring bold and joyful moments to The Standard on a global scale.”
