Alessandro Valenti, the former EMEA president of Louis Vuitton, has been appointed as the new CEO of Givenchy, succeeding Renaud De Lesquen. De Lesquen, who had been CEO since 2020, has decided to pursue new career directions, according to the press release.

Givenchy, part of LVMH’s Fashion Group, has seen several leadership changes recently. On February 1, Michael Burke became chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group, succeeding Sidney Toledano. Despite Givenchy being one of the smaller brands, it boasts a strong haute couture heritage. The brand recently presented two studio-made collections for Autumn/Winter 2024 but skipped men’s fashion week in June.

This announcement follows LVMH’s appointment of Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou as the new CEO of Fendi, effective June 1. Meanwhile, rumors persist about upcoming changes at the creative head of Celine.

Valenti, with 25 years of international experience, previously worked at Versace, Giorgio Armani, and Ralph Lauren before joining LVMH in 2014 as managing director of Louis Vuitton France and Monaco. He later served as president of North-Central Europe and Africa before becoming EMEA president of Louis Vuitton. Sidney Toledano highlighted Valenti’s extensive industry knowledge and managerial skills as key assets for leading Givenchy to new milestones.
