Louis Vuitton has unveiled the LVKV-02 GMR 6, a limited-edition timepiece created in collaboration with master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen, drawing inspiration from the brand’s heritage in travel and trunkmaking. The 40.5mm watch is based on the Escale model and features design elements that mirror Louis Vuitton’s signature trunks, including angular lugs and rivet-like details.

Crafted with a four-part gold dial, the watch includes a diamond-polished hour circle hand-painted by Maryna Bossy using 28 colors over 32 hours. The center is decorated with Voutilainen’s hand guilloché engraving, while the sub-dial displays a day-night indicator with sun and moon motifs shaped like Louis Vuitton’s monogram flower.

The GMR 6 name reflects the watch’s dual-time functionality, with “R” indicating the power reserve and “6” referencing the time zone subdial position. The GMT disc holds the wearer’s home time, and the hour hand adjusts instantly via the crown. Only five pieces will be produced, each delivered in a bespoke Louis Vuitton travel trunk made at the brand’s Asnières workshop. Pricing has not been disclosed, but more details are available on Louis Vuitton’s website.
