L’Oréal Groupe has announced its acquisition of Gowoonsesang Cosmetics Co., Ltd, the parent company of Korean skincare brand Dr.G. Founded in 2003 by dermatologist Dr. Gun Young Ahn, Dr.G will join L’Oréal’s Consumer Products Division (CPD) to meet rising demand for affordable, scientifically developed K-Beauty products.

Dr.G, one of South Korea’s leading skincare brands, is known for its ingredient-focused products, including the popular R.E.D Blemish Clear Soothing Cream. The brand has a robust omni-channel sales strategy and consistently ranks among South Korea’s top three dermocosmetic skincare brands.

“We’re excited to welcome Dr.G into the L’Oréal family,” said Alexis Perakis-Valat, Global President of L’Oréal’s Consumer Products Division. “Dr.G perfectly complements our skincare portfolio, and we look forward to accelerating its growth globally while staying true to our mission of democratizing beauty.”
