Apple is months away from unveiling the iPhone 17 series, but early leaks suggest a major design overhaul reminiscent of Google’s Pixel lineup. Leaker Majin Bu shared CAD renders of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the rumored iPhone 17 Air, revealing a bold new camera design.

The Pro and Air models feature a wider, pill-shaped camera bar spanning the upper portion of the device, replacing Apple’s traditional square camera module. The iPhone 17 Air appears to adopt this design with a single rear camera, while the standard iPhone 17 maintains a more familiar look. Reports suggest the Air model will be a slimmer replacement for the Plus variant, featuring a titanium frame, whereas the Pro models may transition back to aluminum. Supply chain analyst Jeff Pu speculates environmental concerns could be behind Apple’s shift away from titanium, which was first introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro lineup.

Apple typically announces new iPhones in September, leaving months before an official reveal. If accurate, the iPhone 17 lineup could mark one of Apple’s most significant design changes in years.
