Lalique has unveiled Maison d’Artiste, a flagship store on New York’s Upper East Side, blending its storied art deco heritage with modern design. Set in the historic Chopard Mansion, the five-story space was designed by artistic director Marc Larminaux in collaboration with Studio Preveza, creating a residential-style showcase for the brand’s glassware, jewelry, and fragrances.

The interior reflects René Lalique’s 1920s designs, with a chandelier inspired by his work on the SS Normandie, a jewelry salon featuring the Manhattan necklace, and a veranda dedicated to limited-edition perfumes. A third-floor gallery highlights contemporary collaborations with artists such as Zaha Hadid, James Turrell, and Damien Hirst. The upper levels house a bar and lounge inspired by the Orient Express, along with Lalique’s first interior design studio outside Paris.

Larminaux describes the space as both a retail destination and a cultural hub, paying tribute to Lalique’s craftsmanship while embracing contemporary creativity. The store’s opening coincides with the Art Deco Centenary, celebrating 100 years of the influential design movement.
