Jeff Bezos has sold one of his waterfront estates in Washington for a record-breaking $63 million, surpassing the state’s previous high by $3 million. The off-market deal, first reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal, involved a property in the exclusive Hunts Point enclave near Seattle. The buyer was an LLC linked to Delaware-based Cayan Investments.

Originally purchased by Bezos in 2019 for $37.5 million, the estate sits on over three acres with 300 feet of Lake Washington shoreline and includes a 2,200-square-foot dock for boats and seaplanes. The residence, designed by Jim Olson of Olson Kundig, spans more than 9,400 square feet and was built in 2003 for the late art collector and cruise magnate Barney Ebsworth.

Though not publicly listed, records indicate the main home contains three bedrooms, four bathrooms, multiple formal living spaces, and high-end finishes such as Venetian plaster walls, limestone floors, and a gold-clad fireplace. The primary suite features a fireside seating area, dual walk-in closets, a spa room, and a Japanese soaking tub, along with an elevator that leads to a rooftop terrace. A glass bridge connects the main house to a separate two-story guesthouse.

Despite the sale, Bezos still owns multiple properties in Washington, including the 30,000-square-foot La Haye estate in Medina, purchased in 2010 for $45 million. He now considers South Florida his primary residence and has spent around $234 million acquiring three waterfront homes on Miami’s Indian Creek Island, including a recent $90 million purchase where he plans to live while renovating his other properties on the island.
