Stellantis’ Jeep brand, known for its off-road vehicles, has faced a decline in U.S. sales for five consecutive years, with 2024 potentially becoming the sixth. Despite the challenges, Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa remains optimistic about the company’s ability to reach its ambitious goal of 1 million domestic vehicle sales by 2027, supported by a comprehensive turnaround strategy.

The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S boasts a 600-hp engine and all-electric system.

The plan includes lowering prices on models like the Jeep Compass and Grand Cherokee, introducing special offers, and increasing marketing spend by 20%. Jeep’s sales saw a 28% rise in August, but the brand still faces challenges after discontinuing key models like the Renegade and Cherokee, which led to a reduction in market coverage.

Filosa plans to recover market share by launching electrified models, including the all-electric Wagoneer S and Wrangler-inspired Recon SUV. He will also meet with dealers to address concerns during an upcoming roadshow. Jeep’s focus on quality and reliability remains a priority, with delays in vehicle launches to ensure better production standards. Jeep continues to cooperate with safety regulators regarding recent investigations into underhood fires affecting more than 781,000 Jeep vehicles.
