The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) celebrated its 2024 winners on November 13 in Geneva at the Théâtre du Léman. Hosted by actress Carole Bouquet, the event saw 57 Swiss luxury watch brands competing in categories such as Ladies’, Men’s, Calendar and Astronomy, and Jewelry. A new Eco-Innovation prize debuted this year, recognizing advancements in sustainability and traceability.

IWC Schaffhausen claimed the prestigious Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix, the top honor, for its Portugieser Eternal Calendar. Recognized by Guinness World Records as the “most precise lunar phase wristwatch,” it boasts a deviation of only one day every 45 million years. The watch features a revolutionary 400-year gear that ensures accuracy by adjusting for centurial exceptions in leap years. It will remain precise until at least the year 3999.
