Irish comedian Graham Norton, best known for his long-running U.K. talk show, has listed his longtime New York City residence for $5.6 million. The home, located in the historic Sniffen Court enclave of Murray Hill, is one of only 10 former carriage houses built in the 1860s and later converted into private townhomes. The gated mews has housed notable figures including Lenny Kravitz and Cole Porter. Norton originally purchased the home in 2002 from German model Claudia Schiffer. It is now co-owned with his husband, Scottish filmmaker Jono McLeod.

Recently refreshed by Gachot Studios, the home features bold interiors tailored to display Norton’s art collection and love of color. The main living space, with 15-foot ceilings, centers on a lilac stone fireplace. The dining room is bathed in vivid orange, while the kitchen pairs stainless-steel counters with moss-green custom cabinetry. Upstairs, the second-floor guest suite includes a modern marble bathroom, and the third-floor primary suite comprises a dark-blue bedroom, a separate office with mews views, and a bathroom outfitted with both tub and shower. There’s also a discreet kitchenette with a banquette for morning coffee.

Topping the home is a private rooftop deck surrounded by hedges and potted plants, offering space for alfresco dining. Even in poor weather, a 20-foot-wide clerestory window fills the great room with natural light.

Listed by Chris Kann at Corcoran, the Romanesque Revival townhouse has been part of the National Register of Historic Places since 1973, making it a rare offering in the heart of Manhattan.
