Dom Pérignon has unveiled new bottles inspired by the late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, featuring designs drawn from his 1983 work In Italian, currently housed at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. With the cooperation of Basquiat’s estate, the Champagne brand has created three gift boxes, or coffrets, which, when placed together, form the entire artwork. The bottles’ labels display Basquiat’s iconic three-pointed crown in yellow, blue, or green, atop the Dom Pérignon shield, symbolizing a fusion of both the brand’s and Basquiat’s ideals of power and protection.

The coffrets are priced at $350, and Dom Pérignon has also released a limited ‘uberpiece,’ with only eight available worldwide. This exclusive edition features a bespoke design in collaboration with Artestar, which manages Basquiat’s licensing. The Champagne house described the collaboration as a meeting of shared visions, stating that both Basquiat’s work and their wines “challenge the status quo and inspire through unique visions.”

This is not the first time Dom Pérignon has collaborated with modern artists; previous collections have paid homage to Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons, continuing the brand’s tradition of merging fine art with luxury.
