Canada Goose reported a 53.7% surge in net income to $6.3 million for the fiscal second quarter, even as revenue declined by 5% to $267.8 million. Direct-to-consumer revenue dipped 5% to $103.9 million, and wholesale revenue fell 15% to $137.3 million. However, “Other Revenue” increased to $26.6 million, largely driven by clearing slow-moving inventory.

The company ended the quarter with 72 stores, adding two new standalone locations and converting two temporary stores to permanent ones. CEO Dani Reiss emphasized a focus on enhancing the direct-to-consumer experience and marketing its versatile collection.

Canada Goose anticipates a modest revenue fluctuation for the fiscal year, citing global luxury market challenges and increased marketing efforts. The company is optimistic about the holiday season and the upcoming debut of a capsule collection by creative director Haider Ackermann in late November.
