Burberry is partnering with the Victoria and Albert Museum to transform its renowned Fashion Gallery into the Burberry Gallery, marking a multi-year collaboration between two major cultural institutions. The current gallery, home to one of the world’s most extensive dress collections, will close on May 4 for a two-year renovation, with plans to reopen in spring 2027.

The new Burberry Gallery will continue to showcase five centuries of fashion and will launch a range of “onsite, offline, and online” programs to support fashion education. Burberry CEO Joshua Schulman called the project “a milestone moment for British arts and culture,” emphasizing the shared legacy and creative mission of both institutions. Burberry’s work has previously been featured in V&A exhibitions such as Fashioned From Nature, Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear, and NAOMI: In Fashion.
