Beyoncé has unveiled her latest venture: SirDavis, a Japanese-style whisky created in partnership with Moët Hennessy. Unlike many celebrity spirits, SirDavis reflects Beyoncé’s personal touch and dedication, from the name to the design.

During a July media preview at Moët Hennessy’s New York City offices, Cameron George, global head of advocacy and blender for SirDavis, emphasized Beyoncé’s deep involvement in the whisky’s creation. “Beyoncé has always felt a calling to whisky,” George shared, recalling their first meeting in Los Angeles two years ago. “Whisky is in her DNA. She used the word ‘kismet.’”

The whisky’s name, SirDavis, honors Beyoncé’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a moonshiner during Prohibition. The name also pays tribute to the first time her father heard a Black man referred to as “Sir.”
