Bentley Motors has introduced “Nīla Blue,” an exclusive new color crafted with British fashion designer Supriya Lele, available only to Mulliner customers. Drawing on Lele’s Indian heritage, “Nīla,” the Sanskrit term for “sapphire,” infuses cultural significance with innovative luxury. This hue exemplifies Bentley Mulliner’s commitment to bespoke personalization, merging high fashion and automotive design.

Bentley Mulliner’s artisans specialize in crafting personalized colors, translating each client’s vision into bespoke finishes. Nīla Blue joins this tradition, embodying unique sophistication through Lele’s longstanding connection to the color, frequently showcased in her collections. Lele’s inspiration also includes William Gass’s philosophical work On Blue, adding a layer of emotional and symbolic depth to the collaboration.

The one-of-one Bentayga S showcases Nīla Blue with custom finishes designed by Lele and Mulliner, featuring matched lower brightware, a Nīla Blue pinstripe on the 22” wheels, and contrast details in Mulliner White. The interior extends this palette with Naim speaker grilles in satin black, open-pore walnut veneers bordered by Nīla Blue, and other luxurious accents that reflect Lele’s celebrated design ethos.

Lele expressed her excitement about collaborating with Bentley: “This shade of blue is distinctive yet subtle, with a nuanced difference that defies definition, embodying creativity.” David Parker, Bentley’s Chief Commercial Officer, echoed this sentiment, saying, “Nīla Blue represents the ultimate blend of Supriya’s artistry and Mulliner’s expertise, appealing to those who appreciate quiet luxury.”

Nīla Blue is available exclusively through Bentley’s Mulliner Bespoke Studio. Enquiries can be made via Bentley retailers.
