Laurence Nicolas, a seasoned luxury executive from Printemps, will take over as CEO of Baccarat in early 2025. She succeeds Maggie Henriquez, who has led the iconic French crystal brand since 2022 and will step down in February.

Nicolas, renowned for her tenure at Christian Dior, where she developed the fine jewelry and watch division, brings experience from Cartier, Sotheby’s, and her role as general manager of Printemps Haussmann flagship. Having served on Baccarat’s board since 2018, Nicolas is no stranger to the brand.

“Her expertise in leading global teams, strategic vision, and deep understanding of the luxury market position Baccarat for a promising future,” the company stated. Chairman Bryant Stone added, “Her commitment to excellence will undoubtedly guide Baccarat toward new ambitions.”

Nicolas expressed her enthusiasm for building on Henriquez’s achievements, including the recent collaboration with French chef Alain Ducasse to revamp Baccarat’s town house on Place des États-Unis in Paris. “Her leadership has set the stage for a bright and dynamic future,” Nicolas noted.

Baccarat, celebrating its 260th anniversary this year, has seen renewed attention from its role in Emily in Paris and launches of new lifestyle products, including a pet collection, candles, and lacquer trays. With Nicolas at the helm, the brand is poised to continue its legacy of innovation and luxury.
