Audemars Piguet, the esteemed Swiss watchmaker, celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2025 by introducing the self-winding Caliber 7138, a new perpetual calendar movement. Established in 1875 by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet in Le Brassus, the brand remains one of the last independent luxury watchmakers, upholding a legacy of horological excellence.

The Caliber 7138 builds on the company’s pioneering work in perpetual calendars, ensuring accurate day, date, and month displays until 2100. Designed over five years, this movement features 422 meticulously crafted components and an innovative mechanism that allows users to adjust all calendar functions via the crown. Its four crown positions enable seamless, bidirectional setting of multiple complications.

The movement debuts in three models across Audemars Piguet’s most celebrated collections: Royal Oak and Code 11.59. The 41mm Code 11.59 Perpetual Calendar in white gold features a smoked blue embossed dial, tone-on-tone subdials, and a textile strap, retailing for $109,300. The 41mm Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar is available in two versions—one in stainless steel with a blue dial for $109,000 and another in the brand’s proprietary sand gold with a matching dial, with pricing available upon request.

This release reinforces Audemars Piguet’s dedication to craftsmanship, precision, and timeless design, marking a significant milestone in its rich history.
