To mark the Lunar New Year and the Year of the (Wood) Snake, Arc’teryx has unveiled a limited edition of its legendary Alpha SV jacket. The Canadian outerwear brand teamed up with renowned multidisciplinary artist Romon Kimin Yang, also known as ROSTARR, to create a design inspired by “urushi,” a natural lacquer from Southeast Asia revered for its durability and decorative uses throughout history.

Arc'teryx Honors Lunar New Year with a Limited Edition

ROSTARR, a South Korean-born American artist, infused his heritage into the jacket, explaining, “The snake is a mysterious and beautiful creature that I deeply respect.” Crafted from triple-layer GORE-TEX Pro 2.0, Arc’teryx’s most rugged material, the Alpha SV jacket is built for extreme weather, offering waterproof, windproof, and abrasion-resistant properties. It includes an adjustable, helmet-compatible “StormHood,” water-sealed bicep and chest pockets, and two internal compartments for secure storage. For adventurers, RECCO® reflector aids are also embedded to assist in search and rescue operations.
