Adam Chamberlain will return to Mercedes-Benz USA as CEO on July 1 after leaving the company in 2021. He will also oversee marketing and sales for Mercedes-Benz Cars North America, succeeding Dimitris Psillakis, who has held both roles since December 2020 and will transition to a senior strategic advisor position through the end of 2025.

Mercedes-Benz said the leadership change reflects its commitment to innovation, customer excellence, and growth in the U.S., its second-largest market. Chamberlain’s appointment follows a series of executive reshuffles across the automaker’s U.S. and North American operations, including new board appointments.

Mathias Geisen, board member for marketing and sales at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, said Chamberlain brings a strong blend of strategic and operational experience from both the manufacturer and retail sides and will be key in driving transformation and long-term success.

Before departing in April 2021, Chamberlain was VP of sales for Mercedes-Benz USA, leading U.S. retail and product strategy. He later served as president and CEO of the Americas region for Aston Martin.

Psillakis, who has been with Mercedes-Benz since 1992, has held numerous leadership roles across Europe, South America, Asia, the U.S., and Canada.
