Accor, a global hospitality leader, has signed an agreement to launch the Sofitel Sapa Hotel & Residences, bringing Sofitel’s renowned French-inspired luxury to Northern Vietnam. Set for completion in 2030, the project will include 176 hotel rooms and 436 residences in the picturesque Sapa region, celebrated for its terraced rice fields, misty mountains, and rich cultural heritage.

At the October 23rd signature ceremony at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Vietnam, attendees included Mr. Nguyễn Minh Nhật, Vice Chair of Alphanam Group; Ms. Nguyễn Ngọc Mỹ (Sylvia), Vice Chair of Alphanam Group; Ms. Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery, and Emblems; and Mr. Tom Meyer, Senior Vice President of Operations for Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery, and Emblems across Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and the Pacific.

Positioned in Sapa’s iconic Hoàng Liên Son mountains, the Sofitel Sapa will blend French elegance with Vietnamese artistry, offering world-class amenities such as a Sofitel Spa, a fitness center, and a heated pool, all designed to enhance guests’ experience of Sapa’s natural beauty. The property will also offer a unique gastronomic experience, with restaurants combining fine French cuisine and local flavors, using locally sourced ingredients to create a memorable dining experience.

Sustainability is central to the project, with eco-friendly initiatives such as energy-efficient systems, waste reduction programs, and locally sourced building materials. This development will reinforce Sofitel’s presence in Southeast Asia and raise the bar for luxury hospitality in one of Vietnam’s most captivating destinations.
