Foday Dumbuya’s LABRUM continues blending West African and British influences through collaboration, this time teaming up again with GUINNESS for a unique furniture collection.
Following their 2023 streetside summer campaign, LABRUM and GUINNESS return with “COMMON THREADS,” a collection inspired by Dumbuya’s family home. The lineup includes printed sofas, checkerboards, stools, mirrors, and lamps, all designed to foster a sense of community. Interactive illustrations, developed with the Irish stout brand, enhance the pieces.
The furniture features zigzag wooden legs symbolizing the fluidity of cultures, ideas, and communities. A Nomoli-shaped lamp, inspired by LABRUM’s signature emblem, ties history and heritage into the collection.
The LABRUM x GUINNESS collection is on display at 35A Marshall Street, Carnaby, London W1F 7EX, available until March 23.
